Noise is any unwanted signal, which is usually modeled as a random process in communication systems. Therefore, it is important to understand a basic concept of the random process beyond an elementary probability theory. This lecture deals with the fundamentals of random process to model the noise process in communication systems, including the concept of autocorrelation function and power spectral density.
If you are planning to learn the fundamental concept of random process, this lecture may also serve as an introductory course. Furthermore, it will be also more useful for those who are expecting to study analog and digital communication theories.
